A Fond Farewell to Ed Chapman

Dear Members,

As many members will have already heard, Ed Chapman, our Senior Golf Professional, will soon be heading on to pastures new, having spent a very successful seven years at the Club. His last day will be tomorrow, Wednesday 22 December.

Ed, who will be taking up the position of Director of Golf at Metropolitan Golf Club in Melbourne, one of our reciprocal clubs, has been a wonderful colleague and coach to many at both Fanling and Deep Water Bay – and I want to take the opportunity to congratulate him on his new role and thank him for everything he has done to help elevate teaching standards at the Club.

He has also played an instrumental role in the running of our Junior Development Programmes alongside Tim Hung.

Ed leaves us with many happy memories and we very much look forward to seeing him again on our next Interport trip to Australia. On behalf of everyone at the Hong Kong Golf Club, I wish him and his wife Carla every success and happiness in the years ahead.
