Fanling Flooding: Courses and Range Closed on Tuesday 10 August

Dear Members,

We are sorry to report that, following yesterday’s extreme flooding at Fanling, the courses and driving range continue to be saturated with water and as such will also need to be closed tomorrow, Tuesday 10 August. This will allow the courses and range to drain sufficiently and enable our course maintenance team to carry out required repairs to those most affected areas.

All tee times on Tuesday have therefore been cancelled.

Should there be no further heavy rainfall at Fanling, we expect to be able to re-open all courses on Wednesday 11 August. Please note however that due to the severity of the flooding, repair work on the bunkers will likely continue over the next few days.

A review will be conducted tomorrow and we will update members accordingly.

Closing the golf courses is always a last resort and we thank you very much for your patience and understanding.
