Re-opening of Club Facilities: Important Information

Dear Members,

With the easing of social distancing measures, we are very much looking forward to welcoming you back onto the golf courses at both Fanling and Deep Water Bay from Thursday 21 April.

  • Furthermore, and as outlined in our earlier communications, our dining outlets will remain open until 10:00pm (until 9:00pm at Fanling on regular weekdays) with 4 persons per table permissible.

  • Please note that all staff and caddies undergo daily Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) and must produce a negative result before arriving at the Club.

Other Sports and Recreational Facilities

The Club’s other sports and recreational facilities will also re-open from Thursday 21 April, with the exception of the following, which will remain closed until further notice:

  • Swimming Pools.
  • Saunas.
  • Mahjong Room at Fanling.
  • Please note that the playing of Mahjong will continue to be suspended in all areas at DWB.

Mask Wearing and Vaccine Pass

  • Please note that in accordance with government regulations, masks must be worn in all areas of the Club, including on the golf courses, except when eating, drinking or showering.
  • Please be reminded that there should not be more than 4 people in a group in all areas of the Club and groups must maintain a social distance of 1.5m from other groups, including on the golf courses.
  • A maximum of 4 players and 4 caddies is permitted per tee time, but social distancing must be adhered to at all times.
  • Furthermore, everyone aged 12 and over who visits the Club must adhere to Vaccine Pass requirements. Full details regarding the required number of vaccine doses can be found at the following link: Dosage Schedule for Vaccine Pass.
  • Please be reminded to upload your vaccine certificates to the LeaveHomeSafe app for easy checking on entry to both clubhouses. Please also update the app to the latest available version.
  • Paper vaccine certificates with QR codes will also be accepted.
  • Persons holding a valid Covid-19 Medical Exemption Certificate and those aged 11 and under are exempt from the vaccine requirement.
  • Persons who are unable to meet the Vaccine Pass requirements will not be permitted to enter the Club.
  • Members who are unsure of their status with regard to Vaccine Pass or have any enquiries surrounding the Medical Exemption Certificate are asked to email the Club at enquiry@hkgolfclub.org or please visit the government’s dedicated website.
